The National Chairman,South, West, East and North Of Nigeria Initiatives,(SOWENON), London Chapter, Dr. Sam Jenfa, says that Nigerians in the UK and USA have stepped up preparations to welcome the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London and the United States of America.
Dr. Jenfa made this known to Journalists in London during an interview on the visit of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to UK and USA.
According to him “London will be shut down for BAT as soon as he arrives in the city”.
He explained that preparations had also reached advanced stage, with the appropriate authorities, to ensure that his visit is hitch free.
“Nigerians in London and its environs are yearning to receive our political leader and Presidential candidate.
” We thought that while BAT was in France on a private visit, he would take the opportunity of its proximity to also visit us in the UK; we cannot wait any longer, we are eager to receive him and hear from him” he enthused.
Dr Jenfa. who is also the Founder of SOWENON a Pressure Group established by Nigerian Professionals both in diaspora and in Nigeria, said the organization believed in the unity, good governance, political transformation and economic empowerment of “our people at home”.
He said that his group believed in Asiwaju’s pedigree, vision and mission of rescuing Nigeria ” insisting that they are ready to support him in his bid to win the Presidency.
” He is the only one who has the capacity, capability and requisite experience, among the other contestants in the presidential race to lay a sound foundation of economic prosperity for our dear country.
“We have seen what his administration did in Lagos State during his eight tenure as the Executive Governor; we strongly believe he can replicate same at the Federal level,” he added.
On the issue of his certificate saga, Dr. Jenfa described the insinuation as “utter rubbish”.
He such came from the camp of the opposition political party, who wanted to distract him from achieving his set goals for the country, but, that “they have failed woefully.”
” How could you come now and accuse him of not having the first School Leaving Certificate, Secondary School Certificate and University degree.
” A brilliant man, who worked at the Exxon Mobil, an international Oil Company (IOC) at top Management level, a one-term Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a two-term Governor of the most populous city in Africa.
“He is an innovator, who turned Lagos economy around to become a reference point as well as a consummate politician,” he remarked.
Dr Jenfa, who is also a Consultant on Employment, Community Development, is also a professional in Local Government administration and Housing projects in Britain, admitted that “Nigeria can still get it right, if the right person like Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is voted into office as the President in 2023.”
According to him, his group is awaiting the itinerary of the APC Presidential candidate in London to enable his members arrange a befitting reception for him from the Heathrow Airport to his residence in London,noting that the USA Chapter had also increased its tempo of preparation.
