It was a glorious farewell to bachelorhood and the beginning of a beautiful lifetime journey as families, friends and well-wishers from across Nigeria and beyond gathered in Ilorin, Kwara State, recently ,to celebrate the solemnization of holy matrimony between Chukwunonso Nnadozie and his beloved heartthrob, Chioma Mozie.

Our correspondent reports that the ancient city of Ilorin wore a festive look as members of the Nnadozie family journeyed from the eastern, western, northern and southern parts of the country, including abroad, to witness the joyous union of the handsome groom, fondly called “Nonso,” and his elegant bride, Chioma.

Their fairytale wedding came months after their colourful traditional marriage ceremony held on January 6, 2026, at the family compound of the late Simon Nnadozie in Unubi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

From the very first moment guests began arriving, the atmosphere radiated love, excitement and thanksgiving.

Families of the bride and groom beamed with joy as friends, business associates and close acquaintances converged to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the young couple.

The wedding ceremony held at All Saints Anglican Church along Ibrahim Taiwo Road was filled with elegance, heartfelt prayers and touching moments as Nonso and Chioma exchanged solemn vows before God and a joyous congregation.

The groom’s parents, Sir Solomon Ogechukwu Nnadozie and Lady Nneka Nnadozie from Unubi, alongside the bride’s family, the Mozies of Nkpor, watched with pride and emotion as their children pledged everlasting love to one each other with the timeless vow, “Till death do us part.”

Presiding over the solemnization service was Rt. Revd. Dr. Sunday Timothy Gbade Adewole, the Bishop of Ilorin Anglican Diocese, who delivered a powerful and inspiring sermon on the sanctity of marriage.

Drawing lessons from biblical teachings and life experiences, Bishop Adewole advised the couple to make God the solid foundation of their home and guard their union against negative influences capable of threatening their peace and happiness.

The respected cleric, who officiated alongside six Anglican priests, encouraged the newlyweds to emulate the admirable qualities of their parents and remain committed to love, patience, forgiveness and mutual understanding.

“Marriage is not without its ups and downs. Do not think about divorce because if you do, your children will suffer,” the bishop admonished.

He also reminded the couple that enduring marriages are built on faith, sacrifice and perseverance and tolerance, urging them never to allow external pressures or bad advice destroy what God has joined together.

The solemn church service later gave way to a colourful and glamorous reception at the serene Egbejina Event Centre on Asa Dam Road, where joy flowed endlessly amid music, dancing and sumptuous Nigerian delicacies.

Guests were also thrilled with rich cultural dance performances and a lavish atmosphere of celebration as the newlyweds made a grand and stylish entrance into the beautifully decorated reception hall.

Cheers rented the air as family members, friends and associates showered the couple with gifts, prayers and heartfelt goodwill messages.

The celebration became even more memorable as guests also received appreciation gifts from the groom’s family in recognition of their love and support.

Speaking during the reception, the chief celebrant and groom, Nonso, who is the Manager of Solonna Steel in Ilorin, expressed profound gratitude to God for making the successful transition from bachelorhood to married life possible.

He appreciated everyone who travelled from far and near to honour the occasion, describing the day as one of the happiest moments of his life.

Joining him in appreciating guests, Sir Solomon and Lady Nneka Nnadozie said the wedding was part of the divine journey God had ordained for their family over three decades ago.

The proud parents offered prayers for safe journeys for all attendees and thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the colourful ceremony, from the church service to the grand reception.

Adding an emotional touch to the celebration, the groom’s aunt, Chinwendu Nnadozie, affectionately called on her beloved “Nor-nor” and prayed passionately for God’s guidance, wisdom, fruitfulness and enduring peace in the couple’s union.

As the music faded and the celebration gradually drew to a close, one thing remained clear in the hearts of everyone present, Nonso and Chioma’s wedding was not just a ceremony, but a beautiful celebration of love, faith, family and the beginning of a lifetime journey together.
