The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), Dr. Sule Salihu Enehe, has received a significant boost to his professional profile following his induction as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management (CITM), a globally respected institution in treasury and financial management.

The honour, widely regarded as a hallmark of excellence, celebrates Dr. Enehe’s outstanding contributions to treasury management and public finance.

His admission into the institute places him among a league of distinguished professionals committed to promoting integrity, efficiency, and global best practices in financial administration.

Observers in the public finance sector say the recognition comes at a critical time when states are intensifying efforts to strengthen internally generated revenue.

They note that Dr. Enehe’s expanded professional exposure is expected to translate into innovative strategies that will enhance revenue collection, plug leakages, and improve fiscal sustainability in Kogi State.

Beyond personal achievement, the induction is seen as a strategic gain for KGIRS, reinforcing its capacity to deliver on its mandate of effective revenue mobilisation.

With the backing of globally recognised standards from the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management, the KGIRS is poised to deepen reforms and contribute more meaningfully to the state’s economic growth and development agenda.

The Chartered Institute of Treasury Management is renowned for setting high standards in treasury practice worldwide, and Dr. Enehe’s membership underscores his commitment to continuous learning, professionalism, and excellence in public service.
