Tinubu Begins 2 Weeks Visit To France, Kenya,Rwanda

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today, 2nd of May for a two-week working visit to France, Kenya, and Rwanda.

Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, disclosed this in Abuja. on Friday.

According to the Presidency, the Nigerian leader is expected to engage in high-level bilateral meetings and multilateral engagements during the trip. The itinerary includes stops in Paris, France; Nairobi, Kenya; and Kigali, Rwanda.

In France, President Tinubu is anticipated to hold discussions on bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and possibly attend related events with French authorities. The visit to Kenya is expected to feature his participation in the Africa Forward Summit, scheduled for May 11–12, 2026, in Nairobi — the first time the summit is being hosted in an English-speaking African country.

He is also slated to proceed to Rwanda, where he may attend the Africa CEO Forum 2026 in Kigali (around May 14–15), a major gathering of over 2,000 CEOs and business leaders focused on investment and economic opportunities across the continent.
