The Pastor in charge of Gadumo branch of Chapel of Freedom International,Lokoja, Kogi State , north central Nigeria,Pst.Emmanuel Ibenu, has advised couples to dwell together in unity to make their marriage peaceful, benefial and lasting.
He gave the advice on Saturday at Gadumo quarters,Lokoja in his sermon during the marriage ceremony between Taiye Ajayi and Kehinde Adewumi.
The cleric identified grace one of the characteristic of unity, which he urged, couples must adhere to in marriage.
He described grace as a lifter, reminding couples that unity means to be complete wholeness or be knitted and working together to achieve a common goal or mandate, better and faster.

Pst.Ibenu identified factors that promote unity to include, understanding, trust, forgiveness, sorry, adding that how couples react to each other in terms of contending issues matters a lot.
He said:” A soft answer,I am sorry would always turn away rot, so how we react to issues matters, because a marital union is to be enjoyed and not endured”.
Speaking specifically to the new couple, the pastor urged them to cultivate the culture of mutual respect, meaningful communication, unconditional love and absolute submission to achieve happiness in their marital life.
“There is nothing we have today that is permanently ours, the more we learn to live in unity and in peace, the better,” he stressed.
