Work hard to earn fame, Yul Edochie urges upcoming artists in Kogi.

A veteran Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has advised upcoming artists in kogi state to work extra mile in order to acquire fame as an actor or musician and reap dividends attached to such recognition.
The actor gave the advice in Lokoja at the weekend in Lokoja at the grand finale of the two-day 1st Kogi Blazing Mic Talent Hunts, organised by Black Wall Street and Majesty Movie to showcase upcoming artists in the state.
Edochie,who told the young artists that took part in the talent hunt that he became a much sought after actor today in Nigeria through dint of hard work,called on them to emulate his foot step, if they must be celebrated as actors as well as.
The actor, who said that the road to fame in Nollywood was not as hard as people think, as long as those learning the act remain focussed, however,cautioned them to shun copying others in trying to discover their talent.
He also advised to respect the old hands in the entertainment industry in order to gain the desired experience from them.
“You must be focussed, strive for originality in whatever aspect of acting you are learning and do not copy others, be your self, respect elders in the industry and the sky will be your limit_” he further urged the young artists.
Our correspondent reports that young Olusegun Adeshebioba, stole the show by emerging as the champion of the talent hunt with N1.5 million prize.
A legendary Nollywood actor, Prince Jide Kosoko and other great figures in the entertainment industry witnessed the occasion.
Kosoko told the veterating audience that many of the young artists that participated in the competition would have a role to play in his planned movie in the nearest future.
According to him, the Nigerian entertainment industry has wider employment opportunities and enough role for people with flair for artistic and those that may want to be engaged in auxiliary works.
Prince Jide Kosoko, congratulated all the participants but urged those who not make to the top not to to be discouraged but see that as a challenge to put more efforts to win prize in subsequent events.
