AFRO Award 2023 honours Los Angeles’ Mayor, 25 other Africans, Americans in USA

The mayor of Los Angeles, California, USA, Karen Bass, and 25 other African, American including the Olubadan of Ibadan, HIM. Oba Dr. Olalekan Moshood-Balogun, were recently honoured at the AFRO Award 2023 held in USA.
Chief Taiwo Oduala, Founder and Executive Producer of The AFRO Awards, made the disclosure in a statement issued in Nigeria to the ephemeralnews on Friday.
Oduala, who is also a famous US based Film Director, disclosed that the mayor was bestowed the “AFRO Awards Presidential Award” for her sustained social services and extraordinary accomplishments across the globe.
He said that the “AFRO Awards King’s Award” was awarded to King of Ibadan, Olubadan of Ibadan, HIM. OBA DR. Olalekan Moshood Balogun for his outstanding achievements in international innovations, sustainable developments, and promoting opportunities across the globe.
According to him, the “Men of Impact of The Year Award” was awarded to Ambassador-Consulate General of Los Angeles and Kenya, Dr. Thomas Big Ted Kwaka for his fierce forwardness, initiatives, and positive impact on businesses, society, and the environment across the globe.
Also honoured, Oduala said, is the renowned Casting Director, Danielle Crawley, with the prestigious “Women of Impact of The Year Award” for her groundbreaking work in the industry.
He said that the “Executive of The Year Award” went to the visionary Entertainment Executive and Founder of the Influencers Brunch, Tarek Terk Stevens,whose good friend, Actor Morris Chestnut was at hand to present it to him.
Other awards clinched by other Africans and Americans are
“Airline of The Year Award: Awarded to private flight servicing agency, AIR PEACE for being the best in the airline industry with excellent service.
Outstanding Network Program of The Year Award: Awarded to Multi-Choice Nigeria limited network, AFRICA MAGIC for their outstanding network platform and delivering program services across the globe.
Business Tycoon of The Year Award: Awarded to Business Owner, Filmmaker, and musician, Monica Omorodion Swaida for her outstanding accomplishments and dedication to bringing about positive change in the business, film, and music sectors.
Red Carpet Royalty of The Year Award: Awarded to TV Host, Journalist, Actress, Writer, and Former Miss Kenya, Rachel Mbuki for her very best hosting nature and fashion innovations across Hollywood’s red carpets.
Excellence in Global Healthcare of The Year Award: Recognizing the renowned Plastic Surgeon and President of Global Health Solution, Dr. Michael K. Obeng, for his extraordinary work.
The film director explained that the 2nd Annual AFRO Awards, held on Sept. 16, at the prestigious Directors Guild of America in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, proved to be an unforgettable celebration of humanitarian excellence and cultural significance.
