Kogi State All Progressives Congress Campaign Council has announced a new date for the flag-off of its zonal campaigns in the western senatorial district of the state.

The Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of the campaign council, Kingsley Fanwo, made the announcement in Lokoja on Saturday.

According to Fanwo, the campaign flag-off earlier scheduled for last week Thursday will now hold on Monday, February 6.

He called on members and supporters of the party, as well as the general public, to come out in their numbers to give Governor Yahaya Bello and his entourage a rousing welcome.

The campaign flag-off will hold at Saint Augustine’s College field in Kabba at 2pm.

Fanwo stated that APC remained the beloved party of the electorate in Kogi West, given the sterling performance of the current administration in the zone, adding that the party would sweep all elective positions clean in the general elections scheduled for February and March this year.

The Kogi West campaign flag off, earlier scheduled for Thursday, was postponed due to the death of the Obadofin of Owe land, Oba Michael Oladele Yusuf and the Tafida of Ebiraland, Dr. Abdulazeez Umar Farooq respectively.
