GOC 1 Div. Commends NAOWA for Humanitarian Services

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division, Nigeria Army, Major,- Gen. KI Mukhtar, has commended the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association,( NAOWA), for its humanitarian services in the society.

Speaking during the visit, the GOC expressed gratitude to the Chairperson, Mrs Jamila Mukhtar and her members for the visit.

He noted that their numerous humanitarian engagements had impacted positively on the lives of many less privileged in the society.

General Mukhtar urged them to sustain the good work they had been doing and commended them for supporting their spouses while engaging in service to the nation.

The general also urged them to continue praying for their husbands and the Armed forces of Nigeria in general.

General Mukhtar promised his continued support to the association, within the limit of the resources available to the Division.

Earlier, the Chairperson, NAOWA, congratulated General Mukhtar on his appointment as the 38th GOC of the Division.

She expressed gratitude to the GOC for all the support provided to the organization and appealed for his continuous support to enable the organisation sustain its humanitarian activities across formations and units under 1 Division Area of responsibility, as well as bring succour to the less priviledge in the society.

Mrs Mukhtar equally solicited the support of the GOC toward the NAOWA School projects and Secretariat, adding that the association needed the backing of the Nigerian Army to achieve its aims and objectives.
