By Godwin Akpata.
As part of his continued respect for elders and the traditional institution, Barrister Andrew Akor has paid a yuletide visit to traditional rulers in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Our correspondent reports that the visit took place at the Traditional Council Secretariat, where Barr. Akor met with royal fathers from across the local government.

During the engagement, Barr. Akor formally disclosed his aspiration to contest for a seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, seeking the prayers and blessings of the traditional institution.

He was received by the royal fathers led by the Acting Chairman of the Traditional Council, His Royal Highness,David Ojo Akande, the Otaru Idu, who prayed for him and commended his show of respect and humility.

The council urged him to sustain his people-oriented disposition and charged him not to forget the grassroots if his aspiration to the House of Assembly is realised.

The traditional rulers reaffirmed the importance of continuous engagement with the people and encouraged him to uphold values of service, humanity and community development.
