Bello Condoles Gov. Ododo Over Father’s Death at 83

Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has commiserated with the state governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, who passed away at the age of 83.

In a condolence letter to the governor, a copy of which is made available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Monday evening, Bello described the deceased as a moral compass, a wise guide, and a stabilising force whose values shaped Governor Ododo into the leader he has become.

According to him, the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo lived a fulfilled life and left behind a legacy of sacrifice, humility, and service to family and community.

He noted that the values of the deceased are reflected in the integrity and commitment with which Governor Ododo discharges his duties.

“By every account, your father lived a fulfilled life, attained a ripe old age, and by giving Kogi State a worthy son as Governor, he has left behind a family name that commands respect and admiration,” Bello said.

The former governor expressed solidarity with Ododo in his moment of grief, adding that the late patriarch would be remembered for his principles and the legacy he bequeathed to the people of Kogi State.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannah Firdaus, while also asking God to grant the Ododo family the strength to bear the loss.

According to family sources,the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo passed away on Monday adding that his Janazah (funeral prayer) will be conducted in accordance with Islamic rites.
