Dr. Erico Joseph Ameh, a former governorship aspirant and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on the people of Kogi State to come out in large number and vote overwhelmingly for the party’s chairmanship and councilorship candidates in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for October 19th.
Speaking with newsmen in a telephone interview in Abuja,,Ameh emphasized that under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Kogi State has witnessed significant advancements in governance.
He expressed confidence in the APC’s victory, attributing it to the Governor’s effective governance and dedication to improving the lives of Kogites.
“The Governor has effectively silenced the opposition by providing good governance,” Ameh noted, adding that many local government areas in the state have no opposition parties. “Gradually, Kogi State is becoming a one-party state,” he remarked.
He further stated that a Governor who delivers effective governance fosters an environment where even opposition members may find common ground and join efforts to enhance the state’s development. “Kogi State exemplifies this narrative,” he asserted.
Ameh urged Kogites to reciprocate the Governor’s good governance by turning out en masse to support all APC candidates across the 21 local government areas, ensuring that the benefits of good governance extend to grassroots levels.
He called for peace and tolerance among voters before, during, and after the elections, emphasizing the need to maintain the harmony enjoyed in Kogi State under the leadership of their results-oriented Governor.
