The candidate of the All Progressives Congress,APC, for Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State,Engr. Folounsho Olafemi has promised his constituents that if he wins electíon, he would ensure quality representation, coupled with his legislative influence to attract dividends of democracy to them.

He gave the promise on Monday in Lokoja when he featured in Press Parley organised by Journalists in the state for candidates of various political parties in the state for vying for electíons in 2023.

The candidate said,” With my international connection, coupled with the hope of maximising legislative influence at the House of Representatives,I will bring quality representation to bear in education, agriculture and solid mineral resources of my Constituency,if give mandate.

Olafemi, who described himself as a philanthropist, also pledged to enhance such humanitarian service to better the lot of the people.

The APC candidate,who disclosed that his Constituency contains “23 unique solid mineral resources,” waiting for harnessing, also promised to use his international connection to attract local and international investors to tap such natural ebdowment to develop the economy of the area.

On the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, expressed dismay that the strike continued with no end in sight.

He, therefore, called on members of the National Assembly to use their legislative influence to wade into the matter,with more lobbying, with a view to bringing ASUU and Federal government to negotiating table, call off the strike for students to resume classes.
