Consequent upon increased prayer, trust and hope in God, residents of Lokoja, kogi state seem settling for a new lease of life, warming to opt out of the excessive heat, and most especially those living in Gadumo/Ganaja quarters who have been in inhaling quantum dust resulting from reconstruction of Ganaja road.

A correspondent of The Reporters in Lokoja reports that nature smiled on the residents mid night Monday when a much better rain, compared to the first of the year earlier, ushered the people into a cool Tuesday and temporary halt to dust at Gadumo/Ganaja residents.

“We can’t thank almighty God adequate enough for this great favour done to us by sending down the rain in Lokoja.

“At least, for some hours or days as the case may be, we shall have respite to heat and consumption of high volume of dust flying all over Gadumo/Ganaja area of Lokoja. I really thank almighty God for answering my prayer,” Mr Mathew Nwabueze, motor spare part dealer told The Reporters in an interview.

Our correspondent reports that the rain was still feasible as at the time of this report at about 7.50 a.m.
