Drivers, passengers groan on Lokoja-Abuja gridlock

Many drivers and passengers plying Lokoja-Abuja road have expressed shock over the agnoy they are passing through leaving or coming to Lokoja from other states of the federation.

They expressed their feeling to the correspondent of The Reporters who visited the jamp packed road.

According to them, besides waisting time on the road, the agony of the gridlock was too much for them to bear.

They, therefore, called on the federal government to hasten the completion of the road, adding that none completion of the road on time, was the cause of the problem.

The Reporters recalls that the reconstruction of almost 200 kilometres road commenced in 2006.

Our correspondent reports that the long queue of vehicle on the road; from the popular Nataco junction, Lokoja was approaching Banda village,which is about three kilometers.
