The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has ordered an extensive crackdown on criminal elements across the territory to sustain peace and security.
Our correspondent reports that the operation, which begins in November 2025 and runs through January 2026, involves all tactical and surveillance teams under the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), including operatives of the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), and all Divisional Police Formations.
According to CP Dantawaye, the exercise aims to identify, dislodge, and arrest criminals hiding in black spots, forests, and vulnerable communities within the FCT.
He emphasized that the operation will be intense, continuous, and strategic to ensure residents’ safety.
The Police Commissioner warned officers to handle the assignment professionally and diligently, stressing that indiscipline or misconduct will not be tolerated but urged personnel to respect human rights and maintain integrity throughout the exercise.
Dantawaye called on residents to support the police through cooperation and timely information, saying community partnership is vital to achieving lasting peace.
