The late Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of ‘A’ Division, Lokoja, CSP Enape Fidelis, has been described as an exemplary officer who served the Nigeria Police Force with honor, integrity, and excellence, leaving behind a legacy of courage and devotion to duty.

The new Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, made the remarks during the funeral Mass held in honor of the late officer at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ganja Village, Lokoja, on Friday.

He added the late CSP Fidelis made remarkable sacrifices to ensure the safety and security of citizens, often risking his life to confront danger in the line of duty.

“Late CSP Enape Fidelis served with uncommon dedication. He faced daily challenges with courage, worked long hours, endured sleepless nights, and made sacrifices that often kept him away from his loved ones, all in the service of protecting others,” CP Kankarofi stated.

The police boss noted that his presence at the funeral reflected his deep respect for the fallen officer and his commitment to honoring the service and sacrifice of all police personnel who give their best to the nation.

The CP expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and the church.

Speaking more broadly, CP Kankarofi emphasized that police officers across the country make significant personal sacrifices, often setting aside their own interests, hobbies, and aspirations to uphold peace, law, and order.

“These sacrifices underscore their unwavering commitment to national security and public safety. Their courage, selflessness, and loyalty to duty remain the bedrock of a peaceful society,” he added.

In a statement made available to The Reporters, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP William Ayah, said the late CSP Fidelis was laid to rest with full honors in his hometown, Ugwolawo, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, attended by family members, colleagues, friends, and members of the public.
The occasion,he added, was characterized b offering of heartfelt prayers and glowing tributes in honor of a gallant officer who served his nation with distinction.
