Heinous! Traditional Ruler, Son, Murdered in Taraba; Governor Vows Swift Justice.

The traditional ruler of Chanchangi in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, north east Nigeria,Kumbiya Tanimu, and his son Yusuf were tragically killed by suspected bandits on Friday evening.

The incident occurred on the Takum-Chachanji road as they returned from a funeral event in Takum.

Governor Agbu Kefas has confirmed the heinous crime and has ordered law enforcement agencies to ensure the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice.

In a press statement released by his media aide, Emmanuel Bello, Governor Kefas expressed condolences to the bereaved family, the Chanchangi community, and the entire people of Takum.

“I will leave no stone unturned to fetch out the criminals and bring them to justice in the shortest time possible,” Mr. Bello quoted the governor as saying.

In similar vein,the Tiv cultural and social association in the state has also denounced the murder, with its president-general James Baka urging government and security agencies to apprehend the killers promptly.
