Ilupeju, a community in Ifelodun Local Government Area, has donated a new outpost to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, to curb crime, especially at the grassroots level of the state.
Inaugurating the facility on Friday,the State Commandant of NSCDC, Dr. Umar JG Mohammed, commended the community for their collaborative spirit and hard work, stressing that such attitude remain key to realizing the need for security of life and property in the state.
Represented by ACC Awoyale Olusoji Ayodeji, Mohammed assured the community of NSCDC’s steadfast to protect lives and properties, emphasizing that the new outpost would play a crucial role in crime prevention in the area.
In his speech,the Oni Ilupeju of Ilupeju, HRM Alhaji Momodu Akande, expressed profound gratitude to the state commandant for approving the construction of the outpost.
He reaffirmed the community’s unwavering commitment to providing supportive and conducive environment for the officers of the corps,stationed there for maximum performance.
The traditional ruler promised that the Officers posted to the area would be supported with necessary resources and cooperation to carry out their duties effectively.
