Men suspected to be Kidnappers have abducted a member of staff of the Nigerian Navy Headquarters, Abuja, Mr Musa Lawal in Lokoja, kogi state.
The wife of the victim, Juliana, disclosed this to the press on Monday in Lokoja.
She said that her husband was Kidnapped at about 8 p.m on
Monday at his residence behind Post Flood Housing Estate, Lokoja.
Juliana added that the suspected Kidnappers destroyed the doors and windows of their house which gave them access to bulldoze their way to the house and carried out the crime.
According to her, her would have departed to Abuja on Monday morning to resume work, if not for the unfortunate incidence, adding that he received cut in one his hands before been taking away, to unknown destination, bleeding.
She further revealed that three hours after the incident,the suspects called to demand N3 million ransom from the family for her husband to regain his freedom.
The Reporters gathered from family sources that the suspects have reduced the ransom to N1million.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in the state,SP William Ovye Aya,in a telephone interview with our Correspondent, said he heard the news of the incident in an FM a radio station in lokoja.
He promised to get in touch with the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) in charge of the area where the incident happened, to have details of it and get back to our Correspondent.
Three hours after the interview and no response from the PPRO, our Correspondent called at his office,police headquarters, Lokoja to see him on the Issue, but he was not in the office.
He later confirmed the incident in an interview with our Correspondent, saying that the command had sent its team to go and rescue the victim alive and arrest the suspects.

It added that kidnapping was derived from the word kid, “child,” and nap, “snatch away.”
