MTN Restores Services in Kogi after 2-Week Shutdown

MTN Nigeria has resumed operations in Kogi State after a two-week service disruption caused by a shutdown ordered by the state government over alleged tax defaults.

The restoration of services became noticeable on Friday, as many subscribers in the state regained access to the MTN network and resumed communication.
A complete source on Wednesday, in a chat with our correspondent,hinted of the possibility of MTN resuming services before the end of this week.
She further revealed that in the series of meeting MTN officials had with the state government team, the company agreed to pay part of the tax involved to enable them resume services in the state.
