Governor Ododo Commends Peaceful Local Government Election, Casts Vote in Okene.

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, exercised his civic duty today by casting his vote on Saturday in the Local Government election. Governor Ododo voted at 11:22 a.m at Polling Unit 001, RCC School, Opogoro III, Opogoro-Odenku Ward, in Okene Local Government Area.

Praising the peaceful conduct of the election, Governor Ododo expressed gratitude to the voters for their active participation.

He noted with satisfaction, that “The election is proceeding peacefully and in an orderly manner.”

Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring free, fair, and credible elections.

He also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his dedication to promoting credible elections and youth involvement in governance.

Abdusalam Usman, the Returning Officer for Upogoro/Odenku Ward III, reported a smooth and hitch-free voting process, which began at 9 a.m. He commended the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission for its preparedness.

Governor Ododo was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ali Bello, and the Accountant General of Kogi State, Hajia Habibat Tijani, demonstrating their dedication to upholding democratic processes in the state.
