As Nigeria prepares for future elections, the 36 Political Elevation Group (36 PEG), a non-partisan political advocacy organisation,has introduced a revised operational strategy aimed at influencing credible leadership outcomes through structured political engagement.
The Director-General of 36 PEG, Hon. Chief Sanmi Oluleye, disclosed this in Lokoja in a statement available to The Reporters on Thursday,noting that the repositioning reflects the group’s response to the evolving dynamics of Nigeria’s electoral landscape.
He explained that the strategic framework was developed following consultations led by 36 PEG President, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada.
Oluleye emphasized that 36 PEG operates on a non-partisan basis but engages only where formal agreements exist with candidates and parties. A key pillar of the strategy, he said, is diaspora voter mobilisation and voter registration transfer, both within INEC’s legal framework.
The group has also confirmed its support for three candidates: Kogi’s Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo (APC), Osun’s Governor Ademola Adeleke (Accord Party), and Kwara’s Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (APC). Oluleye attributed 36 PEG’s past electoral successes to targeted grassroots mobilisation and structured collaboration with campaign teams.
