Pray for new Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Bello, Ododo, association urges Egbiras.

Members of the Ebira Avaibe Association have urged the people of the Egbira nation in Nigeria and in the diaspora to intensify prayer for the noyi of Ebiraland, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Mohammed Anage, for peaceful reign.
The Reporters recall that the new Ohinoyi was appointed by the Kogi state government, last week in Lokoja, following a screening that involved 70 contestants that jostled for the Ohinoyi stool.
The. association also advised the extraction concerned to always remember the outgoing governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in prayers for the success of his future endeavor, the governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and other appointed political office holders from the central senatorial district of the state.
This forms part of the resolutions reached by members during their weekly meeting at Anebo housing estate, Gadumo quarters in Lokoja on Sunday.
They noted that the various leadership responsibilities put on the shoulders of the leaders concerned were enormous and sensitive, adding that the new leaders needed constant prayer to be able to effect the much-expected positive change in the lives of the people and the society.
The members also called on the people to shun political and clannish leaning and rally around new traditional rulers and leaders to ensure success, peace, and the development of the district and state, stressing that “leadership comes from God.”
Our correspondent reports that the highlight of the meeting was a special prayer held by members for the new Ohinoyi, Governor Bello, and Ododo among others, for God’s guidance, wisdom, good health, and long life and prosperity for the state in general.
They also prayed for good governance in the state and a new lease of life for local government workers as well as primary school teachers among others.
The convener of the meeting, Hon.Musa Aka’aba, stressed the need for members to unite and be more committed to the cause of the association
He said that the association was formed by members living between Gadumo and 500 units, to meet and rub minds on the issues that would bring about positive development to self, kogi central, and the state in general.
