100 days in office:Reps. member empowers over 400 people in Nasarawa.

The Federal House of Representatives member representing Akwanga, Wamba and Nasarawa Egon Federal Constituency of Nasarawa state, Hon. Jeremiah Umaru, empowered over 321 members of his constituent with various items.
The lawmaker also awarded scholarship to 101 indigent students studying in various higher institutions at the weekend, assist them in their educational pursuit within and outside Nigeria to mark his 100 days in office.

Umaru, who recently donated three 300 KVA transformers, installed 100 solar powered street lights and distributed fertiliser and sprayer to 100 farmers, explained that the 20 vehicles donated to his supporters cutting across all political parties was to appreciate them.
He said the donation was to tell them that “the time for politics is over as such, people should begin to enjoy the benefit of good governance.”
“I have designed a comprehensive blueprint to tackle the numerous challenges confronting the people of my constituency, including programme to tackle the issue of electricity, address the need of the youths, women, empower farmers to ensure food security, promote sporting activities among others.
“I have so far sponsored six bills and they have passed first reading and one motion at the green chamber within my three months,to attract federal presence to my constituency,” the federal legislator said.
He promised to give the constituency the best representation to justify the mandate given him during the polls.
Speaking during the unveiling of the items and inauguration of the scholarship scheme, Governor Abdullahi Sule commended the member for making the state, his constituency proud.
Sule,who encouraged the member to sustain the performance, advised beneficiaries of the gesture to make judicious use of the items to better their lives and cautioned them against selling the items.
Governor Sule also lauded the member for sponsoring six bills in just 100 days in office.
In his goodwill message, Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aliyu Bello, commended the law maker for his performance during his 100 days.
He encouraged the lawmaker to sustain his performance, adding that his constituents would always be proud that they entrusted him with their mandate.
