The Ofu local government chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has inaugurated its Presidential campaign council.

Inaugurating the Council, the State House of Assembly candidate of the party, Engr Mohammed Kabir, urged the members of the Campaign Council to vigorously market the Presidential, National assembly candidates of the party as well as state assembly candidate of the party contesting in the 2023 general elections.

He said:” I want to congratulate you all and to let you know that your choice as the members of the council was due to your track record, recognition and integrity”.

Engr KB, who urged members to start their work immediately, said that they must shoulder the responsibility of wooing more people to the PDP and campaign for the victory of PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections.

He added that, their appointment was a clarion call which they must guide with all sense of responsibility, stressing that they must work harder to ensure that all the PDP candidates win their elections at all levels.

In his remark, factional Chairman of the party, Hon.Gabriel Itanyi, described the inauguration of the Campaign Council in the local government as historic in the democratic period of the Council.

He urged all the party members and the members of the Campaign Council to start working by penetrating the wards to wooing members of the other political parties into the PDP.

Contributing, former Commissioner Local Governnent and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Ainoko, who is the local government Coordinator for Atiku/Okowa campaign council , also urged members to lure members of the ruling party into the main opposition party to ensure total victory of the party in the 2023 general elections.

Hon.Sadiq also also appealed to party members to go back to their wards by marketing all the party’s candidates for the victory in the 2023 general elections.
