NAKOSS presidential candidate sympathises with flood victims

The Presidential candidate of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Comrade Ohiani Hamza Omeiza,has expressed sympathy with the victims offlood in Lokoja and its environs.

Omeiza,who expressed his feeling in a statement he signed in Okene and made a copy available to The Reporters on Wednesday in in Lokoja on Wednesday, described the flood as “indeed an unprecedented disaster” in terms of huge damage done to the properties of the victims.

The presidential candidate, who visited some flood affected places in Lokoja, said: “In as much as I have seen the proactive steps taken by the government, I still want to urge the government to put more effort in arresting the issue.

“I implore other necessary bodies to extend their philanthropic gesture to the victims of the flood.

Commenting on the screening that produced him and other candidates, Omeiza thanked the Electoral committee Members, led by Comrade Noah Agada, for the successful exercise.

“It is indeed a historic one as the committee members have actually shown their level of commitment, passion and zeal towards entrenching the provision of the constitution of our the association.

” The credibility of the exercise is never in doubt as members creditably maligned influences to come up with an awesome result,the the association’s presidential candidate said.

He also gave kudos to the ability, competency, sincerity and the unflinching love members imbibed to sustain normalcy in NAKOSS polity.

The presidential candidate described NAKOSS as a global body that needs to be steered by a responsible and responsive student leader that keen in the ancestral belief and objective that coined its initiation.

He also commended necessary stakeholders and the government for giving the electoral committee the supportive mechanism needed to come up “with this brilliant exercise”.

Omeiza expressed optimism that With the display of readiness by the stakeholders and the government, the convention would be free, fair and credible.

“It is a clear indication that NAKOSS will definitely witness a facelift this time around.

“As we approach the convention proper, I am most convinced that with the show of sincerity established,this virtue will actually be sustained to the end and NAKOSS will set pace for standard.

“To all my teeming supporters and the entire Kogi state students, I want to use this medium to first appreciated you all for your supporters believing in my leadership skills and charisma which I hope will help me navigate NAKOSS on a pedestal of greatness.

“I want to further express my readiness to carry out this task, if given the opportunity. And by the special grace of God, I won’t disappoint myself and I won’t disappoint you all,” he promised.
