The Asin of Okaland,Ondo State, Oba Pius Omiyejola Akande, has condemned in a very strong term, the henious attack on the peaceful kingdom of Owo, leading to the brutal killing of innocent Worshippers at St.Francis Catholic Church, Owo in the state.
The King and the people of Oka Kingdom also commiserated with the families of all the innocent souls mauled down by the marauding terrorists in the course of the dastardly act.
The Media aide to the King, Elder Jerome Tolorunlogo,in a statement in Okaland also expressed Oka people’s condolences to their brothers and sisters in Owo Kingdom, especially the Olowo of Owo Kingdom.
“More importantly, their hearts go out to the proactive Governor of Ondo State, the Government and people of Ondo State and the entire Yoruba land, who bear the brunt
of this condemnable act.
“We trust and are confident that the Ondo State Government will do all within its powers to unravel and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book in good time.
“We are also using this opportunity to encourage the governor and his government to remain undaunted but step up efforts on security matters in the state,”the Royal father said.
The traditional ruler explained that the latest development required that all hands must be on deck to rid the State and communities of “these wicked and heartless killers as a matter of urgency.”
“In like manner, we also advise communities across the state to complement government’s efforts by always be on the alert to nip such nefarious attacks in the bud,”The Asin added.
