A frontline aspirant to the House of Representatives election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC from Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Alhaji Danladi Suleiman Aguye, has promised the people of his Constituency of qualitative representation, if he wins 2023 House of Representatives election.

He made the promise on Tuesday in Lokoja while speaking with Journalists at the 2023 first edition of Media Parley organised by the Nigeria Union Journalists NUJ Kogi,State council.

” If I win, I pray to almighty God to direct me, to do the right thing, I also promised my people of quality representation and I assure them that they will have maximum access to me,” he said.

On insecurity, the aspirant, who praised the local government councils in his Constituency for doing much to check security challenges, further promised to boost such effort, if given the mandate.

On youths, Aguye, former Special Adviser to Kogi state governor on job creation and youth developmnt, said improvement in the life of the youth would be his top priority.

He disclosed that he paid the JAMB fees for 400 students, to ease their financial burden and make sure they realise their educatuonal ambition, adding that if given the mandate he would do more for that segment of the population in his Constituency.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of NUJ in the state, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh, described the occasion as the constitutional responsibility entrusted on Journalists to ask aspirants on what their Constituents stand to gain by voting them into office.

He added that it is also a process through which the electorate would put their elected representatives to task, if they failed in fulfilling their promises.

Adeiza urged members to give the occasion the desired publicity to encourage other aspirants to come further and tell their constituents their mission and vision in seeking for votes.

“If we give much publicity to this aspirant and other aspirants will see it, they will be motivated to come forward and the aims and objectives of the parley will be realised,” he said.

The Chairman,Planning Committee of the Media Parley,Mr Jerry Ocheme, also advised Journalists to give much enthusiasm to the occasion, assuring them of more of such enterprising moment in the days ahead.

The Master of Ceremony at the occasion,Mr Mike Abu, described the aspirant as a media friendly personality and one that had contributed to the development of humanity in many ways.
