As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates in Anambra State warm for the party’s primaries June 26,to elect their candidate for the November 6 Governorship election in the State, they have been urged to lookout for a well-meaning candidate that would provide quality leadership for their social and economic wellbeing.

Mr Godwin Ezeemo,a frontline (PDP) aspirant for the November 6 Anambra Governorship Election, who gave the advice while speaking with Journalists in Awka on Thursday ahead of the primaries, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, said that delegates election should be not be for merriment but a time for sober reflection.

Ezeemo also called on the delegates to choose the right people during the party’s delegates election in order to have candidates that would provide service to this generation and posterity.

“Let us fix our eyes on aspirants who have creative minds and are dynamic enough to change the current narrative of bad political leadership in the state.

“Examine aspirants who have a source of livelihood and not those political jobbers that would steal public funds to enrich themselves.

“We should consider aspirants who are not government appointees that have used government money to build one or two structures but pocket billions of public money for self use.

“Go for aspirants who, through self-worth, have created jobs and development projects for the growth and general development of the public and the state in general,” he further urged the delegates.

Ezeemo also called on the delegates of his party not to make the mistake of the past by succumbing to inducement but vote according to their conscience.

He said that any aspirant with leadership ideas would not buy delegates, adding that his work, over the years in the state, would speak for him.

“Election time is a business time, serious affairs are being discussed, minds should be focused on how to right the wrong of failed leadership, getting things right in an election does not call for much pomp and pageantry.

“It is not the period to start embarking on high merriment galore, the focus of everyone should be about the betterment of our state and our society at large,” he added.

Ezeemo said he was optimistic that he would emerge as the PDP flag bearer with the support of the delegates, saying that the development projects he had executed were a measure of what would happen, if elected into office.

The Reporters,an online news medium, reports that Ezeemo is the Chairman, Orient Group of companies and has over 3,000 workers in his pay roll.
