Professionsl bodies decry quackery in building industry

Members of Association of professional Bodies, Anambra state chaptee have decried incessant nefarious activities of the quacks in building industry, health and other eminent professions in the country, describe the development as worrisome.

The Chairman of the Chapter,Mr Joachim Ulasi stated this at the meeting of the chapter in Awka.

Ulasi, a town planner, said that the activities of the Association had been domesticated in the with 30 different Professional Bodies as members, adding the Association had held its election in 2020

TPL Ulasi,who noted that COVID-19 distruspted the meeting of the chapter, said that plans were on to carry out the investiture as the new State Chairman of the Association by the Month of May, 2021.

He noted that the aims and objectives of the Association were to come togther,reason toghter and have a common front as professional bodies, and said that they are fighting toot and nail to making sure that the illegal activities of the quackeries were stopped to barest minimum in the State and else where.

Ulasi called on members of public not to be carried away by the cheap labour among the quacks but patronise the professionals to ensure quality job that would last for long.

He called on the three tiers to always interact with the members of the Association with a to tapping from their expertise in solving the problem of the country ,adding that they have the capacity to advise the Government professionally in any aspect of human endeavour.

According to him, the Association is making frantic efforts to gain recognition from the government, adding that once that is done, there will be no need for government seeking professional advice abroad.

TPL Ulasi, however,identified shortage of fund as one of challenges of the Association.
