Kogi fixes Nov. 13, deadline for all Internal Examination registrations

Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOEST), says Friday 13th November, 2020,is the deadline for the registration of all Internal Examinations in the state.

The Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Idenyi, disclosed this in a statement in Lokoja on Wednesday.

According to him, the internal examinations include: the Common Entrance Examination (CCE), Basic Six/First School Leaving Certificate Examination (FSLCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the state.

Idenyi also said that the uploading of all the registered candidates’ data should be completed on or before 12 midnight of Friday 13th November, 2020 deadline.

The permanent secretary restated that the conduct of the common entrance examination had been scheduled for Saturday 14th November, 2020, adding that the Basic Six/FSLCE would take place on Wednesday 18th November, 2020 respectively.

He said the date for the conduct of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) would be announced in due course.

Idenyi stressed that there would be no consideration for candidates or schools who failed to meet up with the Friday 13th November, 2020 deadline for all the examinations’ registrations.

He, therefore, urged all eligible candidates for the examinations and relevant stakeholders to take note of the dates and prepare for the examinations.

The permanent secretary urged that following the global challenges of COVID-19, which led to the prolong closure of schools and flood disaster witnessed in the state, all the officials involved in the conduct of the examinations should put in extra efforts to ensure a smooth and credible conduct of the exercise.
