Nigeria’s Ruling Party Appoints 73-Member Committee For 2026 Convention

The All Progressive Congress has appointed 73 Member Committee For its 2026 national central convention.

A statement by the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, names the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Sen. Hope Uzodimma as Chairman of the 73-member Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the statement, Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will serve as Vice Chairman, while the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, Williams serve as Secretary of the Committee.

Other members include serving and former Governors and Deputies, National Assembly Principal Officers and some Ministers.

The Committee is to be inaugurated soon.
