Summit University, Offa, kwara state, has scored a major win on the global stage with the award of two prestigious innovation grants from the Hadis Foundation, in partnership with Luminate.
The grants will fund two groundbreaking initiatives spearheaded by the Department of Mass Communication:
Hack the Hype – Digital Literacy Boot Camp for Tertiary Institutions in Kwara State
Ethical Learning Environment for Virtual and Advanced Tech Education (ELEVATE) Smart Classroom
Hack the Hype aims to equip students with critical digital literacy skills, enabling them to identify misinformation, think analytically, and engage responsibly online. In an era where false information often spreads faster than the truth, the programme will help nurture sharp, fact-driven communicators.
ELEVATE Smart Classroom seeks to revolutionize teaching and learning on campus through cutting-edge interactive technology.
The project will create dynamic learning environments where students are active participants, and lecturers have access to advanced tools that make lessons more engaging and relevant to the demands of the 21st century.
The driving force behind the projects is Mr. Sholola Yusuf of the Department of Mass Communication, supported by a dedicated team. Their achievement highlights the impact of strategic vision, collaboration, and grantmanship , the skill of turning bold ideas into funded realities that transform communities.
With these initiatives, Summit University is poised to produce a new generation of digitally literate, critically minded, and innovation-driven graduates, underscoring its commitment to shaping the future of education.
At Summit University, Offa — we shine like the sun.
