The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Media, Ismaila Isah, has described Governor Usman Ododo’s emergence as a timely development, noting that his leadership came at a crucial moment to rescue the state from stagnation and underdevelopment.

Isah made the remarks on Monday during an interactive session with members of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council.

“Governor Ododo assumed office at the right time to consolidate on the achievements of the immediate past administration.

“He quietly took over and began delivering results that are already impacting the lives of our people,” Isah stated.

He highlighted significant infrastructural development across Kogi’s three senatorial districts under Governor Ododo’s administration.

According to the media adviser, the governor has embraced a fair, transparent, and inclusive style of governance that fosters unity, regardless of political affiliation, religion, or ethnicity.

“This administration has given opportunities to non-indigenes as well, ensuring everyone has a sense of belonging. Across the three senatorial districts, there are appointees who are not originally from Kogi State,” he noted.

Isah also commended the administration’s efforts in curbing financial leakages, saying this has allowed for better funding of critical sectors.

“Governor Ododo’s government has zero tolerance for corruption. State resources are now being channeled into projects that truly benefit the people,” he added.

He cited ongoing road construction, school rehabilitation, and improvements in the healthcare sector as evidence of the administration’s commitment to development. Education, healthcare, and human capital development, he added, have received renewed focus.

Describing the governor as humble and responsive, Isah praised his openness to dialogue and willingness to engage stakeholders for the betterment of the state.

The media aide also thanked journalists for their continued support in helping the administration fulfill its campaign promises.

He expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo for creating a conducive environment for media professionals, noting that the administration’s transparency initiatives are already yielding notable results.

Isah announced that his office would mark the first anniversary of Lugard Television on July 18, 2025.

The station was established to effectively disseminate government policies and programmes to the people of Kogi State.
