CP Dantawaye Urges Newly Deployed Cadet Officers to Be Disciplined,Professional, respect human rights

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has advised the newly deployed cadets from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil , Kano State,on discipline, professionalism, and open to learning during their one month attachment in the State.

The cadets have also been urged to embrace the opportunity to learn practical aspects of policing beyond the classroom.

Speaking with the cadets at the police headquarters in Lokoja on Wednesday, Police Commissioner emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and respect for human rights as they undergo practical training.

He further stated that attachment is a crucial phase in the Cadet scheme and called on the cadets to use the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life Policing situations.

In a statement signed by the Police spokesperson, SP William Ovie Aya on Wednesday in lokoja and copied The Reporters,CP Dantawaye also advised them to learn from both their senior and junior colleagues, engage with the public responsibly, and uphold the values of integrity, service, and justice.

Aya said that the cadets have been deployed across various Divisions and formation in the State, where they will gain hands-on experience in criminal investigation, Traffic Control and Management, Administration as well as Counter-duty.

CP Dantawaye assured the cadets of the Command’s support, while encouraging them to take full advantage of the mentorship provided by experienced officers.

He directed the Divisional Police Officers to ensure proper supervision and guidance throughout the attachment period.
