Residents of Lokoja, Kogi State, in North Central Nigeria, have expressed relief following the restoration of electricity after a partial collapse of the national grid caused a about 48-hour power outage.

Our correspondent in Lokoja reports that power was restored around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
