North Central Nigeria needs Joint Security Network–Group.

The Director General, North Central Development Initiative (NCDI), Comrade Musa Ali Otigba, has called for the creation of a Joint Security Network to curb the prevailing insecurity in the geo – political zone.
Comrade Otigba stressed that North Central, which used to be the food basket of the nation, had been bedeviled by banditry, kidnapping, farmers/herders clashes, which he said needed urgent security attention in order to realize the potential abound in the region.

The Director General,who was speaking at the inauguration of the standing committee to pilot the affairs of the group for the year 2024 in Abuja, appealed to Governors of the North Central zone to begin to work out modalities for the establishment of the joint security network.
“On our own part, we have prepared a draft bill for an act to establish the north central development commission and it will soon be presented to our representatives at both Chambers of the National Assembly, for further necessary action”, he disclosed.
Comrade Otigba commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his economic team for the various initiatives they embarked on aimed at cushioning the effects of the prevailing situation in the country.
He urged Nigerians to be patient with the federal government to enable it put in place, necessary policies for the benefit of the people and the economy.
