Edel-el-fitri: Police Command in kogi orders water tight security

The Commissioner of Police in kogi state,CP Edward Egbuk, ordered a watertight Security, before, during and after the Ede-el-fitri celebrations to ensure adequate security across the state.

He stated this during a Conference held with Senior Officers in Lokoja, according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in the state,SP William Aya, in a statement he signed and made available a copy to The Reporters in Lokoja on Friday.

The Commissioner of Police,who heartily felicitated with the Muslim on the occasion of 2022 Eid-El-Fitri Celebrations in the state, tasked all Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders as well as the Divisional Police Officers to beef up security within their Areas of Responsibilities

The CP also ordered them to ensure massive deployment of patrol teams along the major highway and undercover operations to black spots, flash points, and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud, all forms of crimes and criminality across the State.

“They are also to make sure that detection of crimes are prompt to serve as effective deterrent to all criminals.

“The Commissioner of Police reiterates the Command’s level of preparedness, determination and commitment in synergy with other security agencies in ensuring safety of lives and property.

“To this end, the Commissioner urges the good people of the State to continue to collaborate with the security Forces with credible and useful information on the activities of Criminal elements in order to curtail their acts,” Aya said.
