Another veteran Nollywood actor dies

Veteran Nollywood actor, Romanus Amuta has bowed to death having battled a protracted illness.

Our Correspondent that Amuta, 79, who made waves after he played “Natty” in the popular 80’s sitcom, “New Masquerade”, was pronounced dead on Wednesday by his son, Chukwuma Amuta.

He described his late father as a caring, adding that the deceased did his best to raise his children.

Chukwuna further disclosed that his father died in Lagos on Wednesday, adding that he is survived by a wife, Cordelia and six children.

Our Correspondent reports the Nollywood family has lost no fewer than 11 of their members from 2021 to February 2022.

They include;Mrs. Folake Aremu (60),(Orisabunmi), a veteran Yoruba actress, Mrs. Folake who died on January 5, 2021,Jim Lawson Maduike,.
