The Police Command in Lagos State says that Sylvester Oromoni(12),a student of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos,whose death generated a lot heat in many quarters in the country,died of natural cause.
The Commissioner of police, Mr Hakeem Odumosu,whi disclosed this in Lagos on Friday during a news conference, said two autopsy results; the one from the deceased student’s family and that of all the parties involved as well as the Lagos State government showed that Sylvester died a natural death.
According to the police boss, the results of separate toxicology tests carried out in Delta and Lagos States did not point out any sign of murder on the body of the student.
Odumosu further revealed that 13 pathologists and consultants from all the parties involved were present during the conduct of the autopsy test in Lagos.
He, however, maintained that a Coroner Inquest would still be carried out on the cause of the death of the student.
The Police Commissioner warned those planning to protest the outcome of investigations into Oromoni’s death to do so within the dictate of the law to avoid problem.(vital news).
