By Correspondent in Ilorin.

Striking Kwara state medical doctors are expected to suspended their industrial action effective 6p.m on Saturday.

The Chairman of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners, Dr Saka Agboola disclosed this after an emergency congress of the members.

The Reporters recalls that the doctors commenced the 7-day warning strike on Monday to press home their demand for improved working condition of service and remuneration.

Dr Agboola said the doctors decided to suspend the strike due to the favorable disposition of the state government to negotiate with them.

He also acknowledged the suffering that patients went through due to the warning strike but denied that doctors were intimidated to suspend the strike.
