We will continue to make Kogi hot for Kidnappers, sponsors—Omodara

Kogi State Government will continue to sustain the drive to ensure peace in by making every nook and cranny of the state unsafe for criminal elements and their sponsors.

The State Security Adviser, Cdr. Jerry Omodara (rtd), gave the assurance in Lokoja on Monday while reacting to the rescue of 3 Kidnapped victims and the arrest of 3 suspected Kidnappers by the Hunters’ Group of Nigeria (HGN) and the Kogi State Vigilante Service (KVS) in the state.

He said that the feat recorded by HGN and KVS was a welcome development and a proof that the security network of Kogi State was strong and solid enough to quash all forms of criminal vices.

Omodara further assured that that the continued efforts of Kogi State Government to keep the momentum, as the safest state in the country, were so far yielding remarkable results.

He noted that the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, had made commitments, severally, to ensure security of lives and property of the citizens and make the state a no go zone for criminal elements, adding that the three tiers of government would sustain such drive of making every nook and cranny of the state unsafe for criminal elements and their sponsors.

Earlier, while speaking with Journalists in Lokoja,the Public Relations Officer for HNG, Mal.Abdullahi Yahaya, disclosed that the two security outfits stormed and raided Erotyi mountain in Chikara,Kogi/Kotonkarfe Local Governnent Area of the state, where the kidnapping syndicate operate and rescued three underaged Fulanis and arrested three suspected Kidnappers.

Yahaya noted that the rescued boys were in perfect condition, adding that the arrested suspected kidnappers had been handed over to the appropriate authorities, alongside with the confiscated weapons found with them,for further investigation.

He commended the State Government and the Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Engr. Bashir Gegu, for providing logistics for their operations in the area.

Yahaya noted that the local Vigilantes across the state continued to record good results because of the morale-boost and support the Governor continued to give them, coupled with cooperation from the citizens as well as the synergy between the security operatives.
