Zamfara Speaker loses father to Kidnappers

Alhaji Muazu Abubakar Magarya, the father of Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, who was abducted by Kidnappers on August 5,2021 along with five members of his family and police have been searching him has died in bandits’ den.

Hon. Nasiru Muazu Magarya is the speaker of the State House of Assembly.

The elder brother to the deceased, Malam Dahiru Saraki Magarya, who disclosed this to journalists in an interview on Saturday, however, said his brother died of heart failure.

The deceased’s elder brother,who was among the victims of Kidnapping, based his source of the sad news on the information he said was given to him by one of one bandit kingpins,to the effect that his brother died of the disease, day to the rescue of other captives.

Commenting on his ordeal in the hands of his abductees, Magarya said he got separated from his deceased brother when the Kidnappers took his brother to other camp.

Our Correspondent reports that the Police Command in Zamfara State has rescued the five members of the deceased family and 11 other victims in the state in collaboration with the military, according to the Commissioner of Police in charge of the command,Ayuba Elkanah.

The online publication recalls that Elkanah, while confirming the rescue of the deceased’s family from their abductees on Saturday in Gusau, said the command had put every measure in place to rescue the speaker’s father.
