Kebbi APC elects executive officers through consensus

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kebbi State on Saturday,elected its officers through consensus across the 21 local government areas of the state during the party congress.

Our Correspondent reports that Mr Osita Okechwuku, a national officer of the party, and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN) among others, witnessed the Birnin Kebbi Local Governnent Area exercise at the Justice Ibrahim Umaru Primary School, comprising 15 Wards.

All the delegates and stakeholders of the party agreed to consensus to elect their National delegates.

The leader of the party’s delegate committee from the party’s headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, applauded the Kebbi State Chapter of the APC for a peaceful conduct of wards and local government congresses, noting that in all the state, it was only Kebbi State that had conducted a crisis-free election.

The Personal Assistant to the Governor, Alhaji Faruk Musa Enabo, stated that all the stakeholders generally agreed and signed the resolution, that from wards to local government and state level elections shall be through consensus.

Addressing the elected LG officers,the Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee in the state, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Fans, urged them to be loyal and dedicated to the party and its leaders, adding that their inauguration would be done in due course.

A former Gubernatorial candidate of defunct DPP,Alhaji Abubakar Gari-Malam,commended Governor Bagudu and the leaders of APC for the peaceful conduct of the congresses, stressing that Bagudu had successful brought all important politicians into the party which he said had brought unity and progress in the state.

Speaking on behalf of Elders’ Forum, Alhaji Sanni Hukuma Zauro, commended all the delegates for their peaceful conduct and Minister of Justice for effective supervision of thesuccessful congresses in the State.
