JNI lauds Kogi Monarch for ensuring religious harmony

The Chairman of Kogi State Chapter of Jamaatu Nasril Islam, Ambassador Usman Bello, has commended the Ogohi Onu Anyigba, Alhaji Abubakar Shaibu Okolo for ensuring religious harmony in his domain.

Ambassador Bello gave the commendation when he led other members of the organization on an advocacy visit to the traditional ruler at Anyigba.

The chairman,who noted with delight the role played by the Ogohi and leaders of religious bodies in the area over the recent crisis in the area, also thanked all those who contributed to it’s resolution.

Responding, the Ogohi thanked JNI in the state for living above board and promised further synergy with the body.

In similar vein, the JNI delegation was received in audience by the Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Anyigba, Prof. Marietu Tenuche.

At the courtesy visit, Bello described Tenuche as a professional in a familiar terrain and urged her to ensure religious harmony on campus.

In her response, the Vice Chancellor expressed delight over the visit by the umbrella Islamic body, describing it as a great honour and a morale booster for her and other members of her management.

The Reporters gathered that highpoint of the visit was special prayers for Governor Yahaya Bello, Late Prince Abubakar Audu and the university management.
