By Dada Ahmed in Lokoja

A prominent Women Leader from the Kogi West Senatorial District, Chief Blessing Agbaje, alias Iron lady, has appealed to the people of the district to seek reconciliation with political leaders than indulging in slanderous callings that would not help the growth of the area.

She made the appeal in Lokoja while reacting to what she called undue castigations of Senator Smart Adeyemi by some individuals in the area who did not like his style of politics.

According to her,it has become a trend for some people, for reasons politics, to use abusive words on leaders at the slightest misunderstanding, adding that such character did not portray the district in good light to the world.

” I have the belief that any step taken by Senator Smart Adeyemi is for the good of his people he represents, we should then, cultivate the culture of dialogue to redress issues that are beneficial, “she said.

The woman leader also enjoined the people of the district to collectively work for the betterment of the area by giving adequate support to the Senator who she said had been doing his best to improve the life and development of the area, in recent time.

Chief Agbaje also called for support for Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello who she said had not relent in his second term in “elevating the state with giant projects.”

Agbaje, who is an APC strong woman, noted that if there was distraction development would be easy to accomplish in the State.

She prayed for the peace of Nigeria and advised to make use of their God-given talent rather than waiting on government for employment which she said might not go round, in view of the dwindling economic reality of the world.
