Apart from flood which displaced many families in many many local government areas of kogi state, many bank customers in Lokoja have decried poor network in many banks Lokoja, the development they said had cost them lost of many valuable man hours in their social and economic activities.

A correspondent of The Reporters, an online publication in Lokoja who some visited banks located within the vicinity of Post Office and at Ganaja junction road on Thursday, reports that many customers were seen on queue with long faces, making frantic effort to make withdraw money from ATM.

“I am a business woman dealing in cosmetics. I came to this bank as early 8 a. m to make withdraw but as at 11 a.m,I am yet to achieve my aim due to the absyma slown nature of ATM, a development the bank management traced to poor network.

“What this means is that,I have lost one and half hours waiting to cash money. If we translate this to many customers passing similar unfortunate experience, you can imagine the man hour lost to the nation by this process alone. This is one the serious cogs to the wheel of econmic development of Nigeria,Miss Agnes Okatshi said.

Another customer, Mal. Mohammed Ali, who claimed that he rushed to the bank to make money through ATM, for the payment of the medical bill of his sick mother, noted with dismay that the delay in withdrawing from banks in Lokoja in recent time “is becoming unbecoming”.

He called on the management of banks, especially the one located within the vicinity of Ganaja junction in Lokoja,to look into problem to avert loosing customers.

“The bank is old enough to put its house in order, interms of quality services,to attract more customers. I am afraid if this epileptic service continues for long, I will be forced to stop patronising it,” Ali said.

Some of the customers who described as the delay as beyond the banks, called on the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to look into the problem before going beyond acceptable level.
