Customers decry poor network in banks, Lokoja

Apart from flood that sacked many families in many local government areas of kogi state last week, residents of Lokoja,the state capital have also decried poor network at the various banks in Lokoja with the attendant delay in withdrawing money through ATM.

Many bank customers who spoke with the correspondent of The Reporters, an online media in Lokoja on Thursday, described the development as unacceptable, adding that it had cost them unnecessary lost of many hours.

” I am a business woman dealing in cosmetics. I came to this bank since 8 a.m to make some monetary withdrawal for my business but by 10 a m, I have not been able to achieve my aim.

“What this means is that, I have not been able to carry out my business, due to this long delay to withdraw money, yet I have lost at least one hour.

“Ordinarily, 30 minutes is enough to make money through ATM but in Lokoja, it is not so with many banks here.

“Time of essence in business undertaking, ” Miss Ngozi Amadi said.

Another customer, Mal. Mohammed Ali, who said he needed to make some money to take care of his mother on admission in one of private hospitals in Lokoja, described the continued poor network as a serious development the needed to check by the management of banks.

Many of the customers seen at one of the first generation banks in Nigeria in lokoja, also said the delay in using ATM had become a nightmare for as the hours lost, waiting to withdraw money would have been committed to social and economic activities.

They particularly fingered the old bank for poor services and urged its management to seek up to avert losing customers.

They also called on the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to look into the problem for timely solution.
