An appeal has gone to Nigerians to make service to God and Humanity a priority in what ever capacity they found themselves in order to boost the moral tone of the society.
The Secretary, Kogi State Christian Pilgrimage Commission, Deacon Simeon Onakpa, made the appeal on the sideline of his conferment with a Doctorate In Divinity, by the Africa Theological Education Network Lokoja, affiliated to Vision International University, Ramona, California USA.
DR Onakpa,who noted that no amount was enough to pay for peace, also urged Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper, stressing that no development could be attained without peace.
He described the confernment of of the doctorate degree on him as a morale booster for him to be more committed to the service of God and humanity in whatever field he might find himself.
The National Trustee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comr. Ali Atabor, with rejoiced with Onakpa, urged him to see the honour as an icing on the cake, having had a successful broadcast profession.
He described the Doctor of Divinity as a spiritual feather that should enable Onakpa have a better combination in his place of endeavours and congratulatated him for for yet another milestone.
